A more complete list of my publications with citations over the past few years is at the bottom of this page.  When living in one country, I often publish things in others... (해외 통신원)

At this time I'm nearing completion of my first novel.  It's the first of a series of three.  The second book, which takes place mainly in South Korea is about half written.  The third book is outlined, but I haven't started writing it yet!

If anyone wants to see one of the largest map collections in the world, stop by the library of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.  They were the lucky bidders to get the FANTASTIC American Geographical Society map library back when New York was having severe financial difficulties.  I e-mailed Chris Baruth the other day regarding the fate of Current Geographical Publications.  He wrote back the following:

"I believe it was at the end of 2003 that we discontinued the hard copy, and finally at the end of 2005, we stopped producing the traditional CGP altogether--we now have a "current contents" version that we have produced since the beginning of 2006.

If you have any good story ideas, let me know!  I'm mainly interested in Korean history, culture, mythology, language, cooking, fashion, religions and especially obscure martial arts!

I've got to say"THANKS" here to Mikel Holt of the Milwaukee Community Journal for giving me my start in journalism.  The African American press was a good place for me to start, because I've spent so much of my life as a minority living in foreign countries.  I know how it be.
