Deagu International Fashion Fair 2007 was held at Daegu Exhibition & Convention
Center from 4 – 6th October 2007. The fair presented leading brands from a variety of life-styles. It presented top
brands from all over the world along with next generation high-tech enhanced brands that reflect the ever-changing needa of
customera, and thus functioned as roadmap of current textile-fashion industry trends.

This is the heart of Daegu's shopping district. There is an endless variety of clothing and fashion outlets here
catering primarily to Daegu's youth. This place is hopping (!!!) day and night.
Seomun (West gate) market is known by Koreans as a great place in Daegu for
fashion shopping on a budget.

Korea Textile Development Institute
This institute was founded in 1997 to lead Daegu's textile industry,
doing technical R&D and inventing new textile materials. It has galleries for textiles, showrooms with sample goods, and
a textile library in order for visitors to experience all about textile. For more information, see the KTDI website . Convenient parking is available.

Fashion Center Korea
This center is a fashion hub in Korea with large fashion halls
and galleries. The performance hall in the FCK can accommodate up to 1,000 people, holding fashion shows in diverse themes
year round.

About Daegu!
Just a couple of other things about Daegu. It is Korea's third
largest city with about 2.5 million people. This city is also famous for having the world's most delicious apples and
the most beautiful women! Simultaneously, it is considered one of Korea's more conservative cities. Sorry guys!!!
(In Korea there is an old proverb: Nam nam, pun nya, which means that the women
of the north are beautiful, and the men of the south are handsome. However, the ladies of Daegu, being in the south
of South Korea, seems to defy this old adage!)

It is located in the southwest part of the city. Probably more convenient for travelers is the tourist information booth
at Dong Daegu Station or the one in the center of town, a short wak from Jung-angno subway station.
